In strive to get different projects based on already realized houses, Building Ministry asked for easily available projects, in purpose to accelerate housing erection in post-war period. They also wanted to get some projects with architecture characteristic for certain Croatian regions (mentioned seven). Eventually catalogue was going to be printed. Several proposals, based on the Jadranovo, Stari Grad and Omiška Rogoznica houses, had been offered, and Stari Grad was chosen.
