Goričica
2007.
The clients were very fond of Italian country villas, and we started from
that point. As the project had been developing, shift was more toward modern
form expression. Maybe, at the end, some references of Mies or FLW might
be found. This one-family house, situated in the suburb of Zagreb area,
was drafted between wind and sun, between cold north and warm south, between
noisy public street and quite private garden. Two sides - one defensive
and closed off, the other transparent and open towards the outer space
- and two contrasting faces defined the substance and configuration of
the project. This house tend to be the shelter and sanctuary, the pavilion
and scene of the pleasant family life. |
