Urbino connection 1980. During ILAUD workshop concerning different kind of intervention in this historic town with latter 19./20. century addition part, I gave an proposal. Urbino old town encompasses with walls, with Ducale Palace and other glorified edifices, is quite apart from newer part of town. Topographical configuration and rounded way between them is quite obstacles in everyday communication. With some tunnel connection, either just walkway, or moving cabin, moving walkway, travelator, this problem would be solved. Somehow I was proud on my solution - but My proposal was not accepted as a good idea by Giancalo di Carlo, Herman Hertzberger was even more critical, and after them some other participants were critical too. I don't remember that anyone supported this proposal. After so many years passed, I still cannot see what is so wrong with this idea.
